Role: Senior Cyber Range Engineer. Location:
Fort Meade, MD.
We seek a highly skilled and motivated Senior Network Engineer to join our team and contribute to the Joint Cyber Training Enterprise (JCTE) event objectives. This position is 100% onsite in Fort Meade, MD. Remote work is not an option.
Job Description: As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be a key player in shaping and executing the JCTE event objectives, providing expert guidance, systems administration, cybersecurity, and account management support.
Your expertise will directly contribute to the success of both defensive and offensive cyber operations. You will lead a team of engineers and play an integral role in managing complex cyber exercises and multi-spectrum cyber operations.
Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and technical expertise in large-scale cyber exercises and multi-spectrum cyber operations. Lead a team of engineers supporting Linux, Windows, and VMware or virtualization environments. Manage and support Digital Cyber Operations (DCO), Offensive Cyber Operations (OCO), and related programs within the JCTE. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of cyber operations during JCTE events. Offer systems administration, account management, and cybersecurity support for mission-critical environments. Develop and implement strategies to optimize virtualization infrastructure and ensure operational efficiency. Required Qualifications:
Clearance : TS/SCI Clearance (Polygraph highly desirable). Experience :
8+ years of experience with CNO/CNE/CND platforms. 5+ years of experience in Linux and Virtualization Engineering. Proven experience in leading a team to support Linux, Windows, and VMware or virtualization environments. Knowledge of DCO and OCO operations and overseeing programs within JCTE are desirable.
Technical Skills :
Linux Engineer. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of DNS, routing, and exchange. Experience with Security Onion, SPLUNK, and VMware configurations.
Certifications : Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II or greater certification. Education : Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience. Communication : Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
