The Position

Serve as a business partner to assigned areas to support leaders and employees in the line of business through linking people strategy & performance as well as supporting organizational & cultural change management to enable & drive leadership development, particularly first line leaders. Ensure business success through driving adherence & alignment with established site & department objectives/goals, company policies/standards and federal regulations.

Director/Manager/Lead.

Essential Functions

  1. Coaching people managers for quality & execution timeliness for HR processes as assigned
  2. Provide employee relations support by conducting investigations and providing appropriate guidance to drive manager consistency and compliance in handling performance management
  3. Provide support for individual development plan execution and assessing & establishing plan of action in relation to employee opinion survey results
  4. Participation in candidate selection, exit interviews & turnover analysis
  5. Help managers & exempt employees develop leadership competencies
  6. Provide backup support for new employee orientation
  7. Onboard new managers
  8. Support HRBP’s with Leadership Development, with primary focus on first line leaders
  9. Model the NNWay, to include teaching the values, training & promoting diversity
  10. Execute local & corporate HR projects/programs effectively & efficiently, to include supporting fellow partners & the business through serving as a process champion for an assigned special project as needed
  11. Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  12. Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.)

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related from an accredited university required
  2. May consider an associate’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field of study from an accredited university with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant HR generalist experience required, preferably in a multi-shift manufacturing organization
  3. Minimum three (3) years of relevant HR generalist experience, preferably in a multi-shift manufacturing organization preferred
  4. PHR or SPHR certification a plus preferred
  5. Previous management experiences a plus preferred
  6. Previous experience in ramping up organizations a plus a plus
  7. General knowledge of relevant employment law, personnel policies & procedures best practices preferred
  8. Business understanding preferred
  9. HR IT Systems knowledge & experience preferred
  10. Ability to model the Novo Nordisk Way, Values/Essentials preferred
  11. Proven ability to set Direction & Strategy, Foster Innovation & Continuous Improvement, Manage Business Complexity, Inspire & Motivate, Drive Performance, Collaborate Across Boundaries, Coach & Develop People preferred
  12. Expertise in effective communications; written, verbal, presentation. Impact & influence preferred
  13. Analytical skills preferred
  14. Project management skills preferred
  15. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing applications in the workplace preferred
  16. Change management preferred
  17. Experience in organizational development programs execution, including performance management, individual development planning, staffing, problem resolution, future planning & organizational development, employee opinion survey response, etc. preferred
  18. Proven expertise in organizing information & people from across the organization to develop & implement policies & programs to promote positive employee relations preferred
  19. To support core processes to meet or exceed company business goals preferred
