Full Time Job Description :

The primary role of the Associate Dean position is to provide support to the academic dean, faculty, and staff in the designated academic school. This position reports to the Dean of STEM and will directly hire, supervise, and evaluate the part-time faculty housed within the school. The School of STEM houses programs in the Science, Health Sciences, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering and Engineering Technology areas. The Associate Dean will serve as a liaison for the Dean in matters related to student issues and complaints, the coordination of school operations including course scheduling, and will support the larger strategic priorities of the school and the Academic and Student Affairs unit. The Associate Dean will serve as a 12-month administrative faculty member who should have the flexibility to work at our various college locations. Telework

Master's degree in an academic discipline or in higher education administration. Demonstrated commitment to the community college mission and philosophy, student success and academic excellence. Administrative experience with demonstrated collaborative leadership and management skills. College teaching experience. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and oral and written communication skills. Experience in planning, coordination and on-going improvement of curriculum and instruction. Additional Considerations :

Master's Degree in a discipline represented in the Academic School. Earned Doctorate in higher education administration, a related field, or a discipline represented in the Academic School. Full-time teaching experience at the college level. Administrative / leadership experience in higher education. Knowledge of community college curricula, instructional practices, and learning outcomes. Experience in outcomes assessment. Experience managing grants and preparing reports. Experience in developing strategic, student-focused and programmatic class schedules.
