Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Location: Greater NYC Metro Area (Preferred) Geographic Requirement: Candidates must be based in the Northeastern U.S. (NJ, NY, CT, PA, VA, MD, DC) or willing to relocate Travel: Required to multiple company and portfolio locations Compensation: Competitive base salary + performance bonus + equity participation About the Company: Our client is a private equity-backed company headquartered in the Greater NYC metro area, operating across multiple locations. With an aggressive growth strategy and a dynamic leadership team, the company is expanding organically and through M&A. The organization is seeking a strategic and hands-on CFO to serve as a key executive partner in leading the next stage of transformation and value creation. Position Overview: The CFO will be responsible for leading the finance function, developing scalable financial infrastructure, partnering with the CEO and Board on strategic decisions, and supporting operational execution across all business units. This is a highly visible role, ideal for a finance leader with private equity experience and a passion for driving growth and performance in a multi-site environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead all aspects of finance, accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, and compliance Develop and execute strategic financial plans in collaboration with the CEO and private equity partners Oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements Implement strong financial controls, systems, and processes to support scalability Partner with operations to optimize margins, cash flow, and working capital Support M&A activities including due diligence, valuation, deal structuring, and post-acquisition integration Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team and drive continuous improvement Serve as a key liaison to investors, lenders, auditors, and external advisors Qualifications: Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance executive in a private equity-backed or multi-site company Strong track record of financial leadership, M&A execution, and operational support in fast-paced environments Experience in scaling finance functions and implementing enterprise systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct) Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills Ability to thrive in a hands-on, execution-focused environment with a collaborative leadership style Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; CPA and/or MBA preferred Travel & Location: This role is based out of the Greater NYC metro area. Candidates must be located in NJ, NY, CT, PA, VA, MD, or DC, or be open to relocating. The role requires regular travel to operating sites and partner locations.
