What you bring to SBHG (qualifications): Associate's degree in general studies plus 6 years direct service experience in a Mental Health field (QMHP) OR Bachelor's degree in Mental Health-related discipline plus 4 years direct service experience in Mental Health field (QMHP); or Master's degree in Mental Health-related discipline plus 2 years direct service experience in a Mental Health field (QMHP); 0-4 years experience in a healthcare setting with work experience with seriously emotionally disturbed children or adults (preferred). How you will make a difference (job overview): The Rehabilitation Specialist provides direct and indirect services to adolescents under the supervision of the Director of Group Services, Coordinator, or designee. Responsibilities include performing rehabilitation assessments of new residents, developing individualized schedules of therapeutic groups, making referrals to appropriate community agencies, leading or co-leading therapeutic groups, coordinating daily unit activity programs, supervising adolescents on outings, and participating in Treatment Team meetings to assist in the development of written Interdisciplinary Treatment Plans. Division / Program Overview: A comprehensive mental health inpatient residential facility for adolescents. Serving up to 60 adolescents (ranging from ages 12-17) statewide. Intensive residential services dedicated to serving clients with serious mental health problems with the highest dignity and quality of services since 1988. Programs: Psychiatric Health Facility, Community Treatment Facility, and Non-Public High School - 24/7 locked facility. Multidisciplinary Mental Health Services, Therapeutic Behavioral Health Services, and Intensive Day Treatment Program.
