We are currently in search for a Dean for the Office of Instruction who is a strategic, results-driven leader with a strong commitment to academic excellence, faculty development, and student success while upholding the integrity of public resources and institutional accountability. The ideal candidate will:
Demonstrate strong organizational and leadership skills, ensuring clear directives for associate deans and faculty while fostering a culture of accountability. Drive a cultural shift away from entitlement-based leadership toward a merit-based, student-centered approach that prioritizes institutional goals and initiatives over personal interests. Uphold fiscal responsibility, ensuring effective use of dollars while advocating for data-informed decision-making that maximizes student outcomes. Exhibit a high level of follow-through and accountability, ensuring that key academic initiatives, compliance measures, and strategic priorities are executed effectively and equitably. Possess strong technological proficiency, including Microsoft applications, data-informed decision-making, and operational efficiency tools. Demonstrate the ability to adapt, maneuver, and lead in a dynamic higher education environment, navigating challenges while aligning the department’s work with broader institutional and public expectations. Foster a climate of collaboration and transparency, ensuring that all faculty and staff understand their roles in advancing student success, accreditation, and programmatic quality. Essential Duties

Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution and thirty (30) graduate hours in a related field required. Doctorate preferred. Five (5) years teaching in a higher education setting. Minimum two (2) years administrative experience as Department Chair, Associate Dean, Assistant Dean, Program Coordinator. Active participation or exposure to higher education accreditation procedures, articulation processes and program review. Experience in activities that focus on assessment of student learning. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and multiculturalism in one’s work experience. Experience preferred working within a unionized setting. Demonstrated ability to create a learning environment that fosters student success. Demonstrated ability to develop a technologically integrated environment that fosters innovation within a learning organization. Role
