This position is ideal for a senior attorney with a successful track record in representing clients, who is also interested in mentoring the next generation of legal professionals. The candidate should be adept at handling a large caseload and familiar with all aspects of the trial process. Location North Charleston, SC Duties Represent clients in court and argue motions during legal proceedings. Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions. Prepare for and attend trials, mediation sessions, and arbitration hearings. Stay updated on applicable laws and statutes at local, state, and federal levels. Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests and responses. Requirements Active member in good standing with local and state bar associations. Trial, mediation, and arbitration representation experience. Ability to manage a heavy caseload with minimal supervision. Bachelor’s degree and a law degree from an accredited law school (LLM, JSD, or J.D. degree). Minimum of 5 years of experience as a senior associate attorney. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.), Master of Laws (LLM), or Doctor of Juridical Science (JSD). Certifications Valid Bar license in North Carolina, South Carolina, or Georgia (required). Skills Strong legal research and writing abilities. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Experience in drafting legal documents and preparing for trial.
