Our client, a leading Chemical Manufacturing Company is looking to hire a Corporate Counsel to their legal team in Chicago. Job Title:

Corporate Counsel Reports To:

Vice President and General Counsel Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide legal counsel specific to contract negotiation, employee relations, external communications, intellectual property, and regulatory matters. Curate and review legal documentation to protect and support the company's interests while adhering to corporate compliance laws. Collaborate closely with the Human Resources team on issues related to employee performance, workplace concerns, ethics, compliance, and welfare programs. Guide the management team and stakeholders on legal directions of the company, working closely alongside the VP and General Counsel. Perform in-depth legal research for partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions. Stay abreast of changes in the external marketplace that could impact the company's interests, develop a point of view, and proactively advise. Review, update, and oversee company policies on legal affairs as the company attorney. Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Active member of the Illinois State Bar Association. 5+ years of corporate law experience with a focus on employee relations, IP law, regulatory, and contracts. Comprehensive understanding of corporate law. Strong analytical and negotiation skills. Ability to influence across all levels of the organization. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to hear multiple points of view and act decisively. Seniority level
