Tacoma Nissan is seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager/Executive Manager to lead our dealership to the next level. As General Manager, you are responsible for the overall success and viability of our business. You will effectively guide the day-to-day operations at the dealership. Within the dealership, you have a number of department managers that will report directly to you. Each manager should have a clear understanding of the company’s and dealership’s directives with regard to sales, gross profit, expense control, personnel, customer handling and satisfaction, etc. While the Office Manager will work with you in the day-to-day operations and business oversight, that person will ultimately report to the President and CFO for dealership compliance. It’s expected that both of you utilize your strengths, together as a team, to maximize the dealership’s performance and efficiencies. The Dealer Principal and/or his advisors will provide advice and support to the General Manager in the areas of, but not limited to business planning, strategy, capitalization, manufacturer and customer relations, personnel support, marketing, advertising and branding, banking, legal and accounting matters, and the proper presentation of the business identity to the general public. Success Indicators:

Whether the dealership is profitable and cash flow positive. Whether the dealership is achieving the manufacturer’s required standards in all categories in which they rank or score us. Volume Growth Program, or the like. Growth and attainment are vital to our longevity. Customer First related awards are expected to be achieved every year. How the customer perceives their experience at our dealership. How our co-workers perceive the work environment and how we take positive, corrective actions where deficiencies arise. Do you effectively and efficiently communicate with the Dealer Principal, his corporate advisors, your departmental managers and their staff, manufacturer employees, vendors and the community. Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

Direct and oversee all dealership operations, ensuring efficiency and profitability across all departments. Sales & Financial Performance:

Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share. Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense control. Customer Experience:

Drive a culture of customer satisfaction, ensuring high standards of service and engagement to enhance customer retention and loyalty. Team Leadership & Development:

Recruit, train, and mentor department leaders and staff to maintain a high-performing team culture. Inventory & Vendor Management:

Oversee vehicle and parts inventory, establish relationships with manufacturers and vendors, and ensure proper inventory levels to meet market demand. Compliance & Standards:

Ensure dealership operations comply with all federal, state, and manufacturer regulations and guidelines. Marketing & Community Engagement:

Develop and implement marketing initiatives, promotions, and community outreach programs to enhance brand reputation and visibility. Qualifications & Experience:

Proven experience in a General Manager or Executive Manager, General Sales Manager, or high-level dealership management role. Strong understanding of dealership financials, sales processes, and fixed operations. Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Knowledge of dealership management software (DMS) and CRM systems. Bachelor's degree in Business, Automotive Management, or a related field preferred.
