$177,000.00/yr - $230,000.00/yr Vice President of Operations Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries (Goodwill) is seeking a dynamic, experienced executive to help lead this well-respected, community-based nonprofit into its next phase of growth and impact. A highly successful organization, Goodwill operates in 15 locations across Massachusetts with an operating budget of $50 million and an employee base of more than 320. Reporting directly to the President/CEO, the Vice President of Operations will play a critical role in enhancing Goodwill’s operational capabilities, expanding its footprint across the Commonwealth, and advancing its mission services. As a vital member of the Executive Team, the Vice President of Operations will oversee and provide strategic guidance to our corporate operations teams, including Facilities, Safety/Security, and Information Technology. This leadership role will ensure operational excellence, support strategic growth, and provide for seamless execution of mission-critical initiatives across all Goodwill sites. Partner with the CEO and executive team to assess the operational implications of strategic initiatives and provide expert guidance in alignment with organizational goals and available resources. Take the lead in planning and implementing strategic initiatives and operational best practices to enhance and sustain Goodwill’s Facilities, Safety/Security, and Information Technology practices. Manage operational policies, procedures, and programs, ensuring consistency and compliance across all locations. Prepare and utilize data analytics to identify and manage current and emergent trends. Lead, mentor, and provide direction to direct-report functional leaders to support their development and ensure efficient and effective operations across departments, including driving goal setting, KPI performance, and budget management. Oversee and drive processes for facilities and infrastructure management, including building systems inspection and maintenance, upgrades, and investment in new and existing facilities. Oversee safety practices and all aspects of safety/security, including policies and processes for the security of physical sites as well as for cybersecurity. Responsible for investigations and other steps to manage risk and prevent losses. Manage outsourced information technology vendors and internal helpdesk staff to ensure service levels and best practices and provide strategic direction to leverage technology for operational improvement. Serve as Corporate Compliance Officer, overseeing mandated compliance and risk management practices in partnership with other organizational leaders. Requirements

Minimum of 15 years of progressive professional experience with specific recent responsibility for overseeing operations in a complex organization. Minimum of 10 years in a leadership position managing teams, including managing managers and staff. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Proven success in partnering effectively with CEOs and senior management teams. Ability to develop and implement long-term operational strategies that align with organizational goals and growth plans. Excellent financial management skills, including budget development and management, as well as capital budgeting. Strong analytical skills with expertise in assessing systems and processes and leveraging data and technology to optimize operations and make business decisions. Excellent understanding of business strategy, project management, and day-to-day operations in areas such as Facilities, Safety/Security, and Information Technology. Strong writing skills, along with the ability to use data and technology to convey complex information clearly and persuasively. Systems thinker with excellent team-building and collaborative problem-solving skills. Passion for and commitment to Goodwill’s mission and strategic growth plans. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals and teams with different backgrounds and lived experiences. A sense of humor is a plus. Must meet background check requirements per Goodwill policy.
