The Opportunity The Strategic Supply Chain Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to optimize supplier relationships, reduce costs, and ensure the availability of critical materials and equipment. This role involves contract negotiations, supplier performance management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive operational efficiency and support business growth. Requirements Supplier Management & Sourcing Strategy Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply of goods and services. Identify, evaluate, and manage key supplier relationships to drive quality, cost savings, and performance improvements. Conduct market research to identify new sourcing opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks. Contract Negotiation & Procurement Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure optimal value and service levels. Establish long-term agreements with key vendors to support business continuity and cost stability. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and quality standards in procurement contracts. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with engineering, operations, finance, and logistics teams to align supply chain strategies with company goals. Support new product introductions (NPI) by sourcing necessary components and materials. Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to optimize inventory management and lead times. Collaborate with quality, operations, and engineering teams to conduct supply chain audits, ensuring supplier compliance with quality standards and supply continuity. Cost Optimization & Process Improvement Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supplier performance, cost reductions, and supply chain efficiency. Implement best practices for procurement, supplier risk management, and cost-saving initiatives. Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience, including leadership in supply chain strategy, supplier negotiations, and contract management. Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of supplier contract management. Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and supply chain analytics tools. Ability to manage multiple projects, work cross-functionally, and drive strategic initiatives. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions. Preferred Qualifications Experience in semiconductor or optical industry. Familiarity with global supply chain management and risk mitigation strategies.
