Statement of Purpose:
Under the direction of a pharmacist, the Medication Management Technician will be responsible for the collection and electronic documentation of medication and allergy histories of new admissions. This role is primarily stationed in our Emergency Department, and works closely with pharmacists, nursing, and providers.
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 18 years of age.
Certification / License: Massachusetts issued Registered Pharmacy Technician License; National Pharmacy Technician Certification a plus
Experience: Successful completion of a minimum of 500 hours of employment as a pharmacy technician trainee or successful completion of a Board approved pharmacy technician training program. High level of verbal and written communication skills. Customer/patient facing experience preferred. Experience in a retail or LTC setting preferred. High level of professionalism.
MRMC Differentials:
Hospital differentials are: $3.50 hourly for evenings, $5.00 hourly for nights, and $2.75 hourly for weekends. All differentials are paid based per hospital policy.
