Schelstraete Delacourt is hiring: General Manager US (Atlanta) in Atlanta

Schelstraete Delacourt is looking for a General Manager US for one of its clients, a strongly innovation-oriented manufacturing company in the events & exhibition industry. It is a first generation Belgian family-owned business that continues to grow steadily.

The company has a manufacturing facility both in Belgium and the United States and, as part of their growth story, is looking for a General Manager to take full P&L ownership of the US organization. The role is based in the Atlanta area.

S/He will be responsible for the full P&L of the US entity, leading a management team consisting of sales, operations, finance and HR. S/He leads an organization of around 55 FTE, expected to grow to 80 FTE in the coming year(s). S/He reports directly to the owners of the company.

The General Manager US has, among others, the following responsibilities:

• Defines the strategy for the US organization and implements it into clear action plans, with a clear focus on driving growth;
• Leads all commercial activities and teams (sales, customer service, etc.);
• Follows trends and market developments, researches competitors' products and defines the commercial strategy (in collaboration with customers and stakeholders);
• Represents the organization externally as the US representative of the company (e.g., at conferences, events and meetings), and strengthens networks with key external stakeholders;
• Leads the production site in the US;
• Builds a strong, performance-oriented organization for the US branch of the company.
