Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Position: Manufacturing Manager

Reports to: Vice President of Operations

Position Summary: Arctic Industries is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of our manufacturing department in our Azusa, CA plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, team leadership, and production optimization. You will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, improving production processes, ensuring quality standards, and leading a team to meet business objectives. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high levels of safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

You will instill an “All hands-on deck” approach with employees and build a culture of perpetual progress and success. You will interact with employees at all levels of the organization in a culture of accountability that values velocity, transparency, and the free exchange of information and ideas.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  1. Manage California manufacturing operations, ensuring optimal production, quality control, and safety compliance.
  2. Develop and coach team members for growth and performance improvement.
  3. Plan staffing levels and recruit, onboard, and train employees as needed.
  4. Conduct performance evaluations and administer disciplinary actions as necessary.
  5. Ensure adherence to OSHA, company safety policies, and regulatory standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a workforce of 25+ employees in manufacturing operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, and logistics.
  2. Improve efficiency by identifying process improvements and eliminating waste.
  3. Establish and monitor KPIs to drive performance and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma).
  4. Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and engineering to optimize production flow.
  5. Manage plant budgets, control costs, and recommend key investments in equipment and workforce development.
  6. Drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost initiatives with clearly defined measurable action plans.
  7. Participate in leadership meetings and provide insights on operational performance.
  8. Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair to ensure operational reliability.
  9. Foster a high-performance team culture built on teamwork, accountability, and innovation.
  10. Engage in open communication with executive leadership to align manufacturing strategies with business goals.
  11. Perform additional duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Education:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  2. 6-8 years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in walk-in coolers, HVAC, or related industries.
  3. Strong expertise in manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control.
  4. Proven leadership in managing large teams, mentoring, and developing talent.
  5. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  7. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and advanced manufacturing technologies.
  8. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements.

Language, Physical and Travel Requirements:

  1. Verbal and written communication skills (Bilingual English/Spanish desirable).
  2. Extended periods of standing and performing repetitive movements.
  3. Occasionally lifting weights of up to 25 pounds.
  4. Able to sit in front of a computer for long periods of time.
