Concorde Battery Georgia Corporation is currently looking for a driven candidate to participate in the cleanliness of the facility. The successful candidate will receive day-to-day instructions from the Maintenance Supervisor. The position requires physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for attention to detail and diligence are also imperative in custodial maintenance. The candidate will be given hands-on training by the supervisor and colleagues. This position has an ideal work schedule, only first shift hours and overtime available dependent on customer demand. Previous experience is not required but is a plus.

Competencies:

  • Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets.
  • Ensure employees are prepared for the next day by stocking locker rooms, taking out trash, and cleaning all surfaces.
  • Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks, showers, and restock disposables in both restrooms and locker rooms.
  • Gather soiled uniforms and place them into laundry bags.
  • Gather respirators and wash them using the industrial respirator wash machine.
  • Maintain parking lot cleanliness regularly.
  • Occasional seasonal outdoor work (yard maintenance and snow shoveling).
  • Drive floor scrubber.
  • Vacuum large areas with the central vacuum system.
  • Use a scissor lift to clean ducting and other items near the ceiling.
  • Follow written and oral instructions.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Maneuver up to 50 pounds.
  • Reach, carry, bend/stoop, push/pull.
  • Wear a respirator and other required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Comply with all safety requirements; participate in safety training/practices.
  • Maintain a clean work area and follow company hygiene guidelines.
  • Use small hand tools.
  • Communicate to the supervisor when detecting defective equipment.
  • Read numbers and letters.
  • Work with and around hazardous materials.
  • Work in hot and cold temperatures.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Read, write, and speak English.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Must complete pre-employment physical/drug screen.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm.
  • Overtime available dependent on customer demand.
