- Supply and operate welding systems, plasma cutters and make adjustments as needed
- Lay out, position, and tack-weld parts to secure for welding
- Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
- Conduct required quality checks using basic measuring equipment
- Accurately report daily activities on work orders and Kanban cards and other media as required
- Keep machine and work areas clean and free of safety hazards
- Exercise and promote safe working habits
- Comply with Quality Management System
- Other duties as assigned
Key Responsibilities
- Supply and operate welding systems, plasma cutters and make adjustments as needed
- Lay out, position, and tack-weld parts to secure for welding
- Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
- Meet established production standards
- Conduct required quality checks using basic measuring equipment
- Accurately report daily activities on work orders and Kanban cards and other media as required
- Keep machine and work areas clean and free of safety hazards
- Exercise and promote safe working habits
- Comply with Quality Management System
- Other duties as assigned
- Maintain regular attendance
Key Skills and Abilities
- High school diploma or GED
- Read and understand blueprints with geometric tolerance.
- Must pass Hendrickson weld test -2G or be a certified welder
- Be able to physically lift 65 lbs
- Ability to safely operate lift equipment, including forklift
- Must be able to read and write legibly.
- Must be able to meet production standards and follow instructions.
- Good attendance record is required
- Requires strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
