Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Certified Cardiac Cath Lab Invasive Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our Cardiac Cath Lab team, demonstrating technical proficiency in all catheterization procedures and effectively collaborating with the Cardiologist or Electrophysiologist. Your responsibilities include:
Performing all cardiac catheterization procedures with precision in your role as a primary Invasive Specialist.
Identifying cardiac structures and vascular conditions accurately.
Upholding radiation safety standards and adhering to all regulations.
Assisting physicians with physiological monitoring systems for accurate patient assessment.
Reporting on cardiac function and understanding disease processes affecting it.
Ensuring precise archiving of procedure data for future reference.
What You Need to Apply:
Education & Experience:
High School diploma or GED.
If hired after June 1, 2013, you need one of the following:
One year full-time Invasive Cardiovascular Technology experience.
An Associate Degree in health, science, nursing, or related fields.
Graduation from an accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program.
Training from a non-accredited program with relevant clinical hours.
Preferred: Two years of full-time Invasive Cardiovascular Technology experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with experience.
Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations Required:
Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) credential OR one of the following:
RCIS (Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist) or RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) certification within 18 months of hire.
Certified Surgical Tech or Registered Respiratory Therapist.
EMT-B or EMT-P credentials.
