Summary

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing facility operations, ensuring all maintenance and repair tasks are completed efficiently and meet quality standards. This role involves coordinating daily facility upkeep, managing a team of maintenance staff, and collaborating with other departments to support a safe and functional work environment.


The Facilities Supervisor ensures that all maintenance activities are performed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Additionally, this role involves monitoring facility conditions, implementing process improvements, and maintaining adherence to health and safety regulations.


Description

  • Work with the facility manager to maintain/complete minor electrical work, minor plumbing repairs, wall repair/painting, and general upkeep to ensure a safe and functional environment
  • Operate and maintain equipment, including the john deere tractor for mowing fields and minor grading, as well as scissor lifts for low-voltage wiring, hanging signage, and lighting access
  • Perform weekly floor sweeping and floor repairs to maintain cleanliness and safety in the facility
  • Assemble incoming office furniture as needed to support office setups and workspace organization
  • Act as a yard tractor backup for moving containers around the yard as needed
  • Conduct inspections to assess building systems, equipment, and overall facility conditions, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards
  • Train and mentor staff to ensure employees receive proper training for maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation
  • Ensure proper maintenance of tools and equipment, including annual greasing and routine maintenance of various machinery
  • Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies, tools, and materials, ensuring timely restocking to support continuous operations
  • Manage waste disposal in accordance with environmental and safety regulations, including the proper disposal of hazardous materials
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize disruptions to daily operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Key Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of industry experience in general warehouse environment, preferably in facility maintenance
  • Product knowledge of various maintenance facilities
  • High School diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying noise levels, and wear appropriate hearing protection as needed
  • Walk approximately up to 10k steps per day
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to bend, crouch, or stretch to access different parts of machines, vehicles, workstations
  • Must be able to use personal protective equipment, as needed
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities


Pay/Benefits
