Medium Giant is seeking a Director of Analytics to lead our agency’s digital analytics practice. This role is not just about reporting—it’s about solving systemic data challenges, automating insights, and designing a scalable analytics ecosystem that propels our strategy, media, and client services teams forward. The ideal candidate is equal parts systems engineer, strategist, and problem solver, with a passion for automation, media reporting architecture, and data-driven insights that unlock business growth. This person will own our tagging, pixels, and data integrations, drive new business opportunities, build strong relationships across the agency, and create innovative solutions that impress clients. Key Responsibilities
Data Strategy & Systems Architecture Own and optimize the data architecture for media and digital analytics, ensuring seamless tracking, automation, and reporting. Lead the implementation and governance of Google Tag Manager (GTM), pixels, and tracking solutions across all client engagements. Establish scalable frameworks for media measurement, data integration, and reporting automation. Solve for automation challenges in media reporting, reducing manual work and inefficiencies. Define and implement data governance policies to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all analytics platforms. Analytics & Insights Leadership Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated reporting dashboards (Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Ninjacat, BigQuery, etc.). Partner with strategy, media, and client services to translate raw data into actionable insights that drive client success. Identify trends, uncover growth opportunities, and develop frameworks for predictive analytics and marketing performance optimization. Own multi-channel attribution models, customer journey analytics, and advanced testing methodologies to optimize marketing spend. Growing the Analytics Discipline & Team Develop and expand the analytics practice at Medium Giant, ensuring it becomes a key driver of business growth and innovation. Lead and mentor junior analysts, building a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous learning. Identify new technologies, methodologies, and partnerships to enhance the agency’s analytics capabilities. Advocate for analytics as a strategic function, integrating it more deeply into media, strategy, and creative decision-making. Client & Business Development Support Serve as the analytics lead in new business pitches, helping to craft compelling data-driven stories that win new opportunities. Act as a trusted advisor for clients, translating complex data into clear recommendations that drive ROI. Conduct analytics workshops and training sessions for both clients and internal teams to build data fluency. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership Act as the bridge between analytics, media, and strategy teams, ensuring data is leveraged effectively across all departments. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, helping to integrate analytics deeper into business strategy. Collaborate with the executive team to shape the vision for analytics at Medium Giant. Job Requirements
Qualifications 7+ years of experience in digital analytics, data strategy, or a related field, preferably within a media or marketing agency. Deep expertise in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), Looker Studio, and Ninjacat. Strong background in data architecture, automation, and reporting infrastructure. Experience working with media reporting automation and multi-touch attribution models. Proficiency in key media platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, CM360, DV360, and other paid media ecosystems) to ensure accurate tracking, attribution, and optimization. Hands-on experience with SQL, BigQuery, and API integrations is a plus. Advanced knowledge of media measurement strategies, pixels, and tagging best practices. Strong client-facing skills—must be comfortable presenting insights, making recommendations, and supporting new business efforts.
