Duties and Responsibilities
Loyola University Health System and Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine invites applications for a full-time clinical practice gastroenterologist to join our nationally ranked Digestive Health program. The ideal candidate should have exceptional skills in general gastroenterology and a clinical focus in esophageal/foregut motility disorders. The candidate should be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Gastroenterology and possess an Illinois license at the time of appointment. The candidate must have a commitment to teaching and mentoring as well as academic productivity. The preferred candidate will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor and be a full-time member of the Division in the Department of Medicine.
Loyola University Medical Center has a close partnership with Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital, which lies immediately east of Hines' campus. Some faculty members have joint appointments at Hines and Loyola and this opportunity can be considered. Students and resident physicians rotate through Hines as part of their training. Researchers from Loyola and Hines collaborate closely on many federally funded studies.

Loyola Cancer Care & Research Facility at the Marjorie G. Weinberg Cancer Center . MacNeal is a 374-licensed-bed teaching hospital in Berwyn with advanced medical, surgical and psychiatric services, acute rehabilitation, an inpatient skilled nursing facility and a 68-bed behavioral health program and community clinics.
