Get to Know Your Team:
* BSA provides 24-hour paramedic care through our ambulance service, which responds to emergencies in Canyon and 825 square miles of Randall County. BSA EMS staffs two stations 24/7/365, one in northern Randall County and one in Canyon.
Responsibilities
* The Basic EMT is responsible for providing emergency care and transportation of the sick and injured in accordance with established protocols, Baptist St. Anthony's Health System Policies, and Department Guidelines. * Safely operates emergency vehicles in compliance with all laws, Baptist St. Anthony's Policies, and Department Guidelines. * Accepts other tasks as assigned by the Emergency Medical Service Director.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
* High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
* Certification or licensure as an EMT-Basic by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
* American Heart Association Healthcare Provider completion.
* Valid minimum Class C Texas Driver License with restriction "A" permissible.
* Completion of the following Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency.
* National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800.A is required within 80 days of employment.
Preferred Job Requirements:
* Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS).
* Field experience.
* National Registry.
