Job Posting: Associate Veterinarian for our Small Animal Veterinary Practice - Tired of
corporate/investor owned practices? Our goal at Locust Grove Veterinary Clinic is to provide
top quality care for our patients, at an affordable price, that only a privately owned practice
can provide.
Location: Locust Grove, Virginia - convenient to Richmond , Charlotteville, VA., and
Washington, DC, with the advantage of 2 nearby towns with all the amenities and activities one
might want, and nearby outdoor activities in the semi-rural areas in between.
For you -
You went through the long process of becoming a veterinarian because you love working with
animals, you are a helper at heart, and you are devoted to your vocation. This was, and is an
investment in yourself, in your community, and for the great satisfaction that only service to
others provides. You care about your patients’ health and well being. You also know that
veterinary care is becoming very expensive, so expensive that many animals are being priced
out of good care. You want to help. Our private practice needs a veterinarian as devoted,
kind-hearted, and as skilled as you.
You can enjoy a family oriented practice setting that
combines high quality, with practical, loving patient care. We are helpers, too. Time to relax
and refresh is important, too. We want you to have a happy and rewarding work life, and to
have enough free time to enjoy life outside of work.
Why Choose Us?
A family-oriented atmosphere - our moto is “Pets are family,” because they are family. Our
clients feel the same way.
Comprehensive Care - routine wellness, to sick pet care, surgery, dentistry, therapeutic laser,
physical therapy, and integrative therapies (acupuncture, animal chiropractic, herbal medicine,
among others). We have options to help most every patient.
A Great Staff - our staff members take excellent care of our patients and clients. We have one
LVT, two enrolled in Vet Tech programs, and other very experienced techs,
including our manager.
Modern Well Equipped Facility - we have partnered with Idexx Lab & Cornerstone to provide
in and out of clinic laboratory services, with integrated practice software, and digital imaging.
We have MidMark dental equipment and dental x-ray. We have upgraded our ultrasound to
MindRay. We have a class IV Companion Laser. We also have a Physical Therapy room.
Opportunities for Growth - your continuing education will be supported. If you want to expand
your personal areas of interest, we can help with that. Right now we provide care for cats and
dogs. If you are interested in caring for other pets, we are open to adding those to your patient
list. We love learning and are happy learn from you, and to to share our experience with you, as
well.
If you want to grow your practice leadership role, there is opportunity for that. If you are
interested in practice ownership, but are not sure how to make that happen, we may be able to
help. The current practice owner is open to a partnership, or complete transfer of ownership, for
a doctor who is committed to high quality, practical, broad-spectrum patient care. Our practice

continue. We want to give the next generation of ownership the opportunity to make that dream
