PRACTICE SPECIFICS
We are hiring a full-time hospitalist/nocturnist to work seven on and seven off. This position covers both day and night shifts. The day and night rotation is flexible. As a Hospitalist Physician in our community hospital, you will be pivotal in delivering comprehensive medical care to our patients. You will provide high-quality inpatient care, manage acute medical conditions, coordinate with specialists, and collaborate with our multidisciplinary team. Essentia Health St. Mary’s Detroit Lakes Hospital is a 36-bed Level III Trauma Center and a Vizient top 20 community hospital. Hospitalists will cover patients primarily in the ICU and medical-surgical units. The average day shift patient encounters are 16 patients, and an APP partner supports the day shift. Six physician partners practicing locally allow flexibility in scheduling. We require Internal Medicine, Hospitalist Residency, or Family Medicine with Hospitalist experience. An excellent compensation package with paid malpractice insurance is offered.

Detroit Lakes is located 45 miles east of Fargo, ND, and 200 miles northwest of Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. The population of Detroit Lakes is 9,795 with a regional service area of 40,000. Centrally located in the heart of the Lakes area on beautiful Detroit Lake, it boasts an excellent school system and abundant family outdoor activities year-round.
