APP Neurology Inpatient Weekend/UKHC

MSN for Nurse Practitioners or BS for Physician Assistants

Required License/Registration/Certification:

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) certification within one year of hire or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C).

Physical Requirements:

Sitting, standing, walking. May require lifting up to 50 lbs.

Shift:

The neurology inpatient APP will work 12-hour shifts every weekend day and every other Friday.

Job Summary:

The neurology inpatient APP functions within the acute and critical care hospital setting and works in collaboration with, and is an integral member of, a multidisciplinary health care team. The APP functions in the inpatient setting managing the care of acute and chronically ill patients related to neurological diagnoses.

The APP is generally on a service aligned team and manages the day-to-day patient care from admission to discharge. The APP has a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and education and has a responsibility for ensuring an environment of safe quality care.
