Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Oculoplastic Surgeon to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. The Hospital is part of NYC Health + Hospitals. Kings County Hospital operates a world-renowned Level 1 Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, which serves 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island.

Kings County is located in the East Flatbush/Prospect-Lefferts section of Brooklyn, close to the 2 and 5 subways. Our patients are diverse, with the majority being Afro-Caribbean. Knowledge of French/Haitian Creole is helpful, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct consultations, diagnose conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans for a wide range of orbital and oculoplastic disease.
- Monitor patients' recovery, address complications, and ensure the long-term success of surgical interventions.
- Participate in resident physician training.
- Coordinate didactics (journal club and case presentations).
- Stay updated on the latest techniques and advancements in oculoplastic surgery.
- Excellent communication skills, and commitment to working with underserved communities.
Qualifications
- Completion of an ACGME Accredited Ophthalmology Residency Program.
- Completion of an approved Oculoplastic Fellowship Program.
- Board eligible or board certified in Ophthalmology.
- New York State License.
Wages and Benefits Include:
- Annual Base Salary: $85,050 based on a 12-hour work week.
- 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
- Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
- After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
