If you’re a US-trained physician with ABMS certification in internal medicine, you may be eligible to practice medicine in British Columbia under the USA certified class.

- Mandatory Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) Eligible

Your expertise in hospital-based medical care will encompass a wide range of cases, from complex medical conditions to surgical patients and specialized care needs. In this role, you'll be at the heart of medical care, tending to a wide spectrum of patient needs. Your day-to-day tasks will include managing acute ailments, chronic conditions, creating treatment plans, interpreting diagnostic insights, prescribing medications, and making crucial medical decisions.
Collaboration is key here, as you'll work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nurses, specialists, surgeons, and allied healthcare professionals. Your active participation in transitioning patients through various care phases, engagement in initiatives that uplift care quality, involvement in medical education endeavours, and steadfast advocacy for patients' medical needs will enhance the overall patient care quality and continuity of their healthcare journey.

Compensation and Benefits
Compensation Type: Alternative Payment Arrangement
Estimated Remuneration: For a full-time hospitalist, anticipate an annual income of $336,162.00, plus MOCAP level 2.
Vacation Leave: With flexible scheduling, you'll have ample time to recharge and unwind. May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including:
- Retention Premium: 11.48%
- Retention Flat Fee: $17,790
- Relocation Funding Available: $9,000 if moving within BC, $12,000 within Canada, and $15,000 from outside Canada
- Recruitment Incentive: $15,000, prorated for physicians working less than full time.
