Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Head of Communications to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing stakeholders, leading teams, and executing strategic communication plans. This role requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in communication management, with advanced level of English being essential. This position is part of the Leadership Team in AstraZeneca Türkiye.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhanced Corporate Reputation: Successfully elevate AstraZeneca’s corporate and therapeutic area reputation through effective communication strategies and programs.
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure all communication efforts are aligned with the company’s strategic direction, corporate narrative, and brand initiatives.
- Media Relations Impact: Develop and maintain a strong conventional and social media presence that effectively communicates AstraZeneca’s corporate and therapeutic area narratives.
- Engaging Content: Produce and distribute high-quality, consistent content across various channels that resonates with stakeholders and the public.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Build and nurture strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and media to support communication goals.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing communication team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Effective Use of Channels: Leverage traditional and social media channels creatively to bring the AstraZeneca narrative and patient experiences to life.
- Sustainability Communication: Promote AstraZeneca’s commitment to access to healthcare and environmental protection through targeted communication strategies.
- Data-Driven Improvements: Use communication metrics to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns continuously.
- Agency Management: Effectively manage and deploy agency support to achieve communication objectives with clear KPIs and a drive for excellence.
- Internal communication: Lead the execution of the internal communication content to foster a strong internal culture in cooperation with other related departments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in communication management, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Proven experience in managing stakeholders and leading teams.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in communication tools and platforms.
