The Opportunity
This is a ground-floor opportunity to join as a Co-Founder (CTO) and shape the technical vision of a company positioned at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity—two of the fastest-growing sectors in tech. As a founding team member, you'll have significant equity ownership and the chance to build something transformative from day one.
Role Overview
As Co-Founder (CTO), you'll be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of Evolua, from architecture decisions to product development. You'll work closely with the founding team to translate our vision into robust, scalable technical solutions that address critical cybersecurity challenges.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement the technical architecture for our AI-powered cybersecurity platform
- Lead the development of our core technology stack leveraging advanced AI techniques
- Make key decisions on technology choices and establish technical standards
- Build and lead a world-class engineering team as we grow
- Collaborate with the founding team on product strategy and business development
- Represent the company's technical vision to investors, partners, and customers
- Drive innovation at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity
Technical Expertise We're Looking For
- AI Engineering: Extensive experience building and deploying AI agents and systems
- LangGraph: Hands-on experience with building complex LLM applications using LangGraph
- Cloud Infrastructure: Deep knowledge of AWS Bedrock and cloud infrastructure design
- Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG): Experience implementing sophisticated RAG systems
- Vector Databases: Working knowledge of Pinecone and similar vector database technologies
- Multi-Agent Cooperation Protocol (MCP): Familiarity with designing and implementing multi-agent systems
- Modern Web Development: Experience with Next.js and modern web frameworks
- Cybersecurity Expertise: Strong background in cybersecurity principles, threat modeling, and security engineering (major plus)
Additional Qualifications
- Prior founder experience with a successful exit or valuable lessons from a previous startup (major plus)
- Analytical thinking and research capabilities
- Exceptional communication skills, both technical and non-technical
- Experience in technical sales and marketing
- Proven track record of building and scaling technology products
- Knowledge of software development processes and technology trends
- Ability to lead and mentor technical teams
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
Compensation
This is currently an equity-only opportunity. As a co-founder, you'll receive a significant equity stake in Evolua. Once we secure funding, all founding team members will receive competitive market-rate salaries. We're looking for someone who believes in our vision and is willing to invest their time and expertise in exchange for meaningful ownership.
Location
While this is primarily a remote position, our ideal candidate would be based in the Bay Area or willing to relocate there eventually. We're planning to establish an office in the Bay Area as the company grows, though this is not a hard requirement for exceptional candidates.
