NetGO has a current opening for an AWS Technical Architect to support a Federal Government client with their digital transformation and modernization programs. In this role, the AWS Technical Architect will work with stakeholders, executive leadership, and IT experts to define innovative, client-focused, technical solutions.

Description

Hybrid Position - 3 Days Remote, 2 Days at Contractor Tysons Corner office

Responsibilities:

  1. Designing and creating solutions using best-in-class cloud technologies to solve our clients’ challenges
  2. Take a central role in the planning and construction of intuitive cloud-based applications
  3. Define strategies for migrating On-Prem applications to the cloud
  4. Lead cloud migration activities
  5. Coaching and mentoring fellow team members
  6. Coding, debugging, and supporting cloud-based applications
  7. Ensuring the quality and technical excellence of enterprise-grade solutions
  8. Designing application architecture
  9. Taking ownership of cloud-based applications
  10. Planning and executing technical application details

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or other relevant degree or equivalent industry experience. Industry-recognized certifications and/or publications in the area of expertise are preferred.
  2. Minimum eight (8) years experience as an Architect, with at least three (3) years in AWS specifically.
  3. At least one (1) AWS Certification
  4. Deep background leading a team working in an Agile methodology to develop software
  5. Deep experience applying design patterns in Angular 5+/TypeScript, Vue, React, or similar
  6. Proven ability to design and develop microservices and their supporting structures
  7. Extremely proficient in object-oriented development and design patterns
  8. Established experience in Node.js
  9. Established experience in C#/.NET Core or Java/Spring
  10. Experience using build tools like Grunt, Gulp, Webpack, Bower, or similar
  11. Established understanding of Test-Driven development, unit testing, and clean code
  12. Worked with tools such as Jenkins, Jira, Bitbucket, or similar
  13. Superb written and oral communication skills
  14. Outstanding interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, self-motivated and excellent presentation skills
  15. Ability to effectively work both autonomously as well as on a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience architecting solutions on AWS using Serverless framework(s)
  2. Ability to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  3. Experience in project technical estimation, component breakdown, and cross-application communication
  4. Experience with developing testing strategies for complex applications
  5. Experience leading distributed and/or global teams
