With a focus on wholesale and E-commerce, Honor The Gift is expanding rapidly and looking for a Managing Director to lead strategic growth, streamline operations, and scale the brand.

Job Summary:


The Managing Director will be responsible for overseeing business strategy, operations, sales, and financial performance. This role will ensure cross-functional alignment between sales, merchandising, marketing, production, and finance, with a focus on scaling the brand, driving revenue, and optimizing internal processes. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with deep experience in fashion, retail, or consumer brands who thrives in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and execute long-term business strategies to drive growth and brand expansion.
  • Oversee wholesale and e-commerce business models, ensuring operational excellence and revenue growth.
  • Identify and implement new market opportunities, partnerships, and distribution strategies.
  • Serve as a key decision-maker for financial planning, budgeting, and P&L management.
  • Foster a high-performance culture while maintaining the brand’s creative and cultural authenticity.

Sales & Wholesale Management:

  • Lead and manage the sales team, ensuring strong performance and brand representation across wholesale accounts.
  • Strengthen wholesale relationships and expand partnerships with key retailers to drive revenue growth.
  • Oversee sales strategy, seasonal market presentations, and account management to ensure strong sell-in and sell-through.
  • Align sales initiatives with merchandising and marketing strategies to maximize brand visibility and impact.

Merchandising & Product Strategy:

  • Oversee the Merchandising team to develop an assortment strategy that aligns with brand identity and business goals.
  • Ensure that collections are commercially viable while maintaining creative integrity.

Production Oversight:

  • Work closely with the Production team and manufacturers to ensure timely deliveries and high-quality standards.
  • Optimize production planning and sourcing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Operations & Financial Management:

  • Partner with the Director of Operations to transition fulfillment to a third-party logistics (3PL) provider and optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Work closely with finance to manage profitability, margin optimization, and forecasting.
  • Implement data-driven decision-making to drive operational efficiencies and sales performance.
  • Ensure the organization is structured for scalability and sustainable growth.

Brand & Marketing Leadership:

  • Ensure a consistent brand vision that resonates with the target audience and maintains cultural relevance.
  • Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to develop campaigns, activations, and collaborations.
  • Identify growth opportunities for product expansion and global reach.

Team Development & Organizational Growth:

  • Build and lead a high-performing leadership team, fostering collaboration across departments.
  • Develop and mentor key team members to enhance professional growth and accountability.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in fashion, retail, or consumer brands.
  • Strong expertise in wholesale, e-commerce, and sales team management.
  • Proven success in scaling businesses, leading sales, and driving revenue growth.
  • Financial acumen with experience in P&L management and strategic planning.
  • Deep understanding of merchandising, pricing strategies, and product lifecycle.
  • Experience working with production teams, manufacturers, and supply chain partners.
  • Passion for fashion, culture, and storytelling.
