JOB OPPORTUNITY - Plant General ManagerThe Plant General Manager is responsible for being the Senior Manager at the facility, overseeing all team members, assets, and activities. This position directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for compliance, production, maintenance, quality, safety, and other production-related activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Provides strategic leadership in overseeing operational activities.
- Develops and implements operational strategies to optimize production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Leads and mentors a team of production managers, supervisors, and frontline staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Manages operations including processing, shipping/receiving, productivity, cost, safety, and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and standards.
- Partners with Quality and Safety teams to ensure policies are in place to comply with OSHA, EPA, FDA, and other regulations.
- Collaborates with other departments to drive cross-functional initiatives and achieve company objectives.
- Develops and manages the department budget, monitoring expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Partners with Human Resources on staffing, performance, training, and employee relations issues.
- Partners with the Chief Operating Officer on construction and renovation projects.
- Promotes a safety culture that drives zero incidents.
