The Department of Pediatrics – Section of Child Neurology is looking for a Board Certified/ Board Eligible Child Neurologist or Pediatric Epileptologist to join the growing clinical practice in Colorado Springs, CO. Our faculty in Colorado Springs operate in a stand-alone Children’s Hospital and Outpatient Clinic (Children’s Hospital Colorado – Colorado Springs).
Job Duties
Primary duties include providing clinical care to children with Neurological disorders. This may include outpatient care, inpatient care, and EEG interpretation (if applicable). While the role is primarily clinical, teaching, and limited research opportunities exist.
About Child Neurology in Colorado Springs, CO
This position would join a small group of existing Department of Pediatrics – Section of Child Neurology faculty based in Colorado Springs, CO. We provide Child Neurology services within Children’s Hospital Colorado – Colorado Springs. The Children’s Hospital in Colorado Springs is a 294,000 square foot facility with five levels of patient care and a level two trauma designation. The hospital has 115 hospital beds (16 PICU, 50 NICU, and 44 medicine/surgery), four EMU beds, five sleep study beds, and seven OR rooms. We have the only dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department in Southern Colorado with 28 total patient care rooms. The outpatient clinic has two levels of patient care spanning 20+ specialties. Childrens Hospital Colorado – Colorado Springs is home to a growing number of subspecialty services providing world-class care.
While being based in Colorado Springs, this position would have an appointment in the Section of Child Neurology which is housed at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO. Great for someone interested in a clinical position with support and connection to an academic medical center.

Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Board Eligibility in Neurology with Special Competence in Child Neurology
Ability to obtain a Colorado Medical License
Ability to obtain DEA certificate
Strong communication skills
Broad knowledge and clinical skills in Pediatric Neurology
Commitment to Patient Safety, Quality Care, Communication, and Customer Service
