Job Title: Personal Injury Trial Attorney
Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm in Miami, FL is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Trial Attorney to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to handle a wide variety of personal injury cases, including premises liability, negligent security, automobile negligence, and cases involving wrongful death and catastrophic injuries. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on all phases of litigation, from pre-trial preparation through trial, and will be expected to represent clients effectively in court.
Duties:
- Represent clients in personal injury cases, including premises liability, negligent security, automobile negligence, wrongful death, and catastrophic injuries
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
- Propound and respond to discovery requests
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Draft and argue motions related to discovery and dispositive issues
- Handle mediations and arbitrations
- Prepare for trial, including witness preparation and developing case strategies
- Conduct direct and cross-examinations of witnesses during trial
- Actively participate in all stages of trial preparation and proceedings
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury litigation
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (bilingual required)
- Strong litigation and trial experience
- Ability to handle complex personal injury cases independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications:
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida
Skills:
- Strong legal research and writing abilities
- Proficient in drafting and filing legal documents
- Extensive experience with depositions and trial procedures
- Skilled in preparing and presenting cases in court
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
