Job Title: Quality Assurance TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Quality Assurance Technician ensures that the plant complies with food regulatory requirements and reports any deficiencies or practices that could compromise food safety, quality, and defense.ResponsibilitiesMonitor production conditions, specifications, process controls, and tracking controls.Maintain wash line concentrations.Monitor and verify checks on existing production control forms, ensuring all program requirements are met.Collect environmental swabs, air sampling dishes, and lab retain samples.Monitor all Critical Control Points (CCPs) on-line and take corrective actions when necessary to assist in determining root causes and developing preventative action plans.Check pH levels, temperature, and brix of each batch of juice produced, ensuring they are within product specifications.Conduct and document Facility Operation Inspections and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).Perform Standard Sanitation Operational Procedures (SSOPs) verification and ATP swabs.Track non-conforming products and their dispositions.Perform pre-operational inspection procedures of all production/bottling equipment and facility.Perform equipment calibrations and make necessary adjustments.Assist with testing food products to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.Conduct inventory checks (ATP swabs, charts, forms, etc.).Ensure volumes, torques, and bottle weights are within product specifications.Complete and enter all pallet tags and CCP forms for production and bottling into the database.Record cycles and verify that all High-Pressure Processing (HPP) settings and information are correct.Perform metal mesh and magnet inspections.Verify that production lot codes, labels, mold numbers, and packaging are within product specifications.Perform lab duties as necessary.Verify shipping and receiving procedures.Adhere to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines while in the plant.Regular and reliable attendance.Essential SkillsProficiency in Excel data entry.Ability to multitask and pay attention to detail.Strong communication skills.Experience with GMP, inspection, and FDA regulations.1-2 years of Quality Assurance experience preferred.1-2 years of food industry experience preferred.Knowledge of food safety regulations preferred.Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.Spanish language skills are a plus.Strong leadership, computer, and critical thinking skills.Ability to adapt to constant changes.Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in food manufacturing, line cooking, or production.Strong soft skills.Ability to meet deadlines, which may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours.Why Work Here?Upon conversion, we offer medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and other ancillary benefits.
