Quoting Engineer – Fastener Manufacturing


We are seeking a detail-oriented Quoting Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and competitive pricing for custom and high-volume fastener production. If you have a strong technical background in manufacturing and a keen eye for cost analysis, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Review customer RFQs, engineering drawings, and specifications to assess manufacturing feasibility.
  • Calculate material, labor, tooling, and production costs to develop competitive and accurate quotes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to optimize cost efficiency.
  • Determine lead times and production schedules for quoted parts.
  • Work with suppliers to obtain pricing for raw materials, plating, and secondary operations.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend improvements in the quoting process.
  • Prepare and submit formal quotes to customers while ensuring profitability and alignment with company objectives.
  • Maintain a database of quotes, historical pricing, and cost trends for future reference.
  • Stay informed about material costs, market trends, and industry standards to ensure competitive pricing.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in fastener manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of machining, cold heading, threading, stamping, or other fastener production processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation, pricing models, and ERP/MRP quoting systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for customer and internal team interactions.
  • Background in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial management preferred.

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
