Scope of Job: The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for creating, updating, and monitoring Test and Inspection Plans (TIPs) for Titan Decking. This role ensures that all awarded contracts have a comprehensive Test and Inspection Plan in compliance with customer requirements, including NAVSEA Standard Items. The QA Supervisor is also responsible for overseeing contract performance to appliable standards, monitoring work quality, and ensuring all documentation and reporting are accurate and compliant.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Test and Inspection Plan Creation & Management:
Generate or obtain Test and Inspection Plans for all awarded contracts, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, typically NAVSEA Standard Item 009-01 and 009-04. Ensure that the Test and Inspection Plan is created or obtained from the Prime Contractor (the company contracted by the Government or Company providing the Purchase Order).
Coordination & Preparation:
Coordinate the preparation of the Test and Inspection Plan after contract award to be discussed at the Turnover Meeting with the Director of Contracts or General Manager. Prepare the Test and Inspection Plan package, which includes Test and Inspection Plans and Certification Requirements. Be responsible for updates to the plan and ensure all required documentation is submitted and retained.
Quality Assurance Review:
Review provided Test and Inspection Plans for errors, including unnecessary tests and discrepancies. Submit Condition Found Reports requesting deletions of unnecessary tests or documentation.
Contract Performance Oversight:
Conduct observations of work in process to ensure surface preparation standards, coating, and product installation meet contract requirements. Issue in-house Discrepancy Reports for any issues and review responses for accuracy and compliance. Report trends or recurring issues to the General Manager.
Lessons Learned:
Attend and provide feedback at the Lessons Learned Conference upon project completion, coordinated with the Director of Contracts.
