Job Summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatric provides essential respiratory therapy services to pediatric patients under general supervision, addressing a variety of age levels in all areas served by the Respiratory Therapy Department.

This role involves administering treatments, performing diagnostic tests, and responding to respiratory emergencies to support patient care and recovery.

Key Responsibilities Administer therapeutic respiratory treatments as prescribed by medical staff. Record treatment details and patient responses in the electronic medical record. Serve as a resource to the medical staff regarding respiratory care. Conduct invasive and non-invasive diagnostic testing and monitor patients. Provide age-appropriate respiratory care to pediatric patients. Clean, maintain, and ensure functionality of respiratory therapy equipment. Maintain accurate and detailed respiratory therapy records. Act as a member of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory emergencies. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care Program. Respiratory care experience in a critical care setting preferred. Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision. Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (required upon hire). Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire. Preferred Qualifications

Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential within 90 days of hire if not already registered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Strong clinical decision-making skills for pediatric care, specifically related to pulmonary and cardiac systems. Ability to handle high-stress situations and work well with coworkers and staff. Familiarity with computer-based medical record systems. Certifications

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential within 12 months of hire if not already obtained.
