Job Title: Cashier

Job Summary:

The Cashier at Smoky Mountain Smash in Gatlinburg Skypark will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions accurately, and ensuring a smooth flow of operations at the cash register. The ideal candidate will be friendly, reliable, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Customer Service:
    • Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
    • Assist customers with menu selections and answer any questions regarding the offerings.
    • Provide information about current promotions and special deals.
  2. Cash Handling:
    • Accurately process customer orders and handle cash transactions.
    • Operate the cash register and ensure correct pricing.
    • Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers.
    • Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts.
  3. Order Management:
    • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
    • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
    • Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally, seeking assistance from the manager when necessary.
  4. Cleanliness and Maintenance:
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the cash register, counter, and dining area.
    • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a sanitary environment.
    • Restock and organize inventory as needed.
  5. Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient service.
    • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
    • Assist with other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

  1. Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is an asset.
  2. Skills:
    • Strong numerical and cash handling skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.

Working Conditions
