Education/Experience
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications or equivalent is desired. Experience as youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor or aquatics instructor/supervisor is preferred. Three to five years of management experience is required. Summary
Goldfish Swim School is seeking a full-time General Manager (“GM”) at its Pike Creek, DE location. The GM oversees the quality and success of Goldfish Swim School daily operations including staffing, pool operations, cash management, customer service, retail and vending department, private party operations and workplace employee activities. Duties and Responsibilities
Operations
Directs and controls the daily operations to ensure the school is running per GSS standard operating procedures. Trains and oversees the aquatics department to provide superior swim instruction to the students of GSS. Gains knowledge and experience of scheduling software to achieve a high level of competence in bookings, class scheduling, reporting and administrative functions. Interacts with the Deck Supervisors on issues related to class scheduling, student progress, customer service and employee performance and training. Safety
Gains a high level of knowledge and experience in the GSS pool operations necessary to maintain a safe and sanitary swim environment. Directs and oversees the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and all safety procedures that pertain to the GSS facility. Trains all current staff on the GSS EAP. Leads Monthly In-Services for staff. Management/Organization
Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple situations at once. Demonstrates the ability to lead, motivate and manage a team of 40+ employees. Responsible for training, recruitment and hiring staff. Manages the staff of GSS to ensure high productivity, excellent performance and positive employee satisfaction. Initiates and oversees workplace employee activities (“Fun” Department) with the goal of achieving improved employee satisfaction. Lead weekly management meetings. Customer Service
Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere that embodies the Golden Experience to GSS families. Focuses on member retention and lead conversion. Oversee and maintain partner sites geared toward customer satisfaction. Sales/Financial Management
Provides sales and marketing training to all qualified sales staff. Provides direction in the retail and vending departments to ensure a proper mix of products and pricing is achieved. Establishes and manages all budgets for expenses and purchases. Oversees and executes plans to meet sales and enrollment targets. Schedules staff and manages payroll. Certificates and Licenses:
Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, AED are required. Certified Pool Operator and/or Lifeguard Instructor certification is highly encouraged. Total Compensation (including bonus):
$65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
