The client is a leading provider of design and consulting services, specializing in solving complex infrastructure and facility challenges across the

transportation, government, commercial, and education

sectors. We are looking for an experienced

Low Voltage Designer

to join our team and contribute to the successful execution of engineering and design projects.

Role Overview:

As a

Low Voltage Designer , you will play a key role in the

design, planning, and consulting

of low voltage systems, including

IT, communications, security, audio-visual, and structured cabling . You will be responsible for developing construction drawings, preparing technical specifications, and overseeing system implementation from initial concept to completion. This role offers the opportunity to work on projects ranging from small-scale system designs to large, multi-faceted infrastructure renovations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design process

for low voltage systems, ensuring solutions align with project requirements and industry standards. Develop and assess system concepts , recommending the most effective design solutions. Perform engineering tasks

such as load calculations, equipment selection, system layouts, and schedule development. Prepare construction drawings and detailed specifications

for bidding and implementation. Conduct system analyses, feasibility studies, and cost estimates

to support project planning. Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients

to ensure seamless project execution. Provide construction administration services,

including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting site inspections. Support budget and resource management efforts

to maintain project efficiency. Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers,

fostering professional development within the team. Qualifications & Experience:

Associate degree in Engineering Technology

or a related field. 10+ years of experience

in low voltage or electrical system design and consulting. Industry certifications such as RCDD

(preferred). Strong background in

architectural and engineering design . Proficiency in

AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office . Ability to

manage projects independently

while working collaboratively with a team. Excellent

communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills . Active involvement in

industry organizations
