INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER Posting Number: S835 Department: E-Learning Position Type: Exempt Employment Status: Full-Time-Staff Salary: $52,772.00 to $81,799.00 per 12 months Open Date: 04/29/2024 Close Date: 05/30/2024 Job Description Summary: This position reports directly to the Director of E-Learning Services and is responsible for the design and delivery of effective instructional and supplemental materials for distance education. Ensures that high quality distance education courses are completed on schedule and within budget and serves as a resource for appropriate use of various media in support of teaching and learning at a distance. Provides faculty professional development and training. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional/ Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Education, Communications, Information Technology, Curriculum or a related field and three (3) years of recent related experience. ***OR*** Master’s degree in Instructional/Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Education, Communications, Information Technology, Curriculum or a related field and one (1) year of recent related experience in course or curriculum design may be used to qualify. Preferred Qualifications: Three (3) or more years of recent experience with Blackboard, Brightspace by D2L, Instructure Canvas, or other learning management systems. Experience using API and LTI integrations. Demonstrated technical skills implementing Web-based tools, e.g. HTML, HTML5, streaming audio, video, etc..
