Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, install, and integrate submarine training systems.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, system services, application software, and system management tools for Linux systems, both natively and within virtual machines.
• Work with team to monitor and test applications, virtual machines, and containers to identify issues with installation and performance.
• Troubleshoot Information Technology (IT) Systems to diagnose and suggest/implement potential solutions.
• Support physical hardware installation of IT computing equipment and cabling at both local and remote sites.
  

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or other related field and 5 years of experience, Master's Degree with 3 years of experience, or 9 years in lieu of degree.
• Linux experience required.
• Experience with bash scripting.
• Experience with virtualization technologies, preferably Red Hat KVM (e.g., Red Hat KVM, VMware, libvirt/virsh).
• Networking knowledge (OSI Network Layers, TCP/IP, DHCP).
• US Citizenship with the ability to maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
• Ability to work onsite.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current IAT Level I Certifications:
  • Network+
  • Security+
  • Linux+
• Experience with Cisco switch/router configuration development and deployment.
• Experience with System Build Automation Tools (Linux kickstart, Puppet, Windows Deployment Server (WDS)).
• Computer/Electronics Hardware knowledge.
• Intel server configurations.
• Configuration management experience with both centralized and distributed version control systems (e.g., SVN and Git).
• Experience with submarine tactical systems.
• Navy junior officer experience.
