Masis Professional Group is currently hiring a Contract to Hire Electronics Test Technician for a local manufacturing company based out of Plainfield, CT ! The Electronics Test Technician will be responsible for testing, aligning, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying circuit boards to meet specified functionality. This role requires a deep understanding of electronics, particularly in the Radio Frequency (RF) and digital fields, and involves hands-on work with test equipment and circuit board components.
Electronics Test Technician Responsibilities :
- Perform repairs at the component level on circuit boards.
- Adjust and calibrate circuit boards to ensure proper functionality.
- Set up and operate standard test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, volt meters, network analyzers) to conduct functional and operational tests.
- Analyze and interpret test data to evaluate performance and reliability.
- Electronics Test Technician should complete paperwork and documentation related to testing and troubleshooting.
- Fabricate cables for test equipment and circuit boards as needed.
- Test various circuit board chassis to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Record adjustments, calibrations, and modifications made to circuitry and components.
- Modify circuit board functions as required to meet specific performance requirements.
Technicians’ Electronics Test’ Requirements:
- Ability to troubleshoot down to the component level.
- Strong background in electronics, especially in RF and digital electronics.
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics.
- Electronics Test Technician must have strong deductive reasoning skills for troubleshooting.
- Mechanical inclination with soldering skills.
- Openness to performing a variety of tasks as needed.
- Background in radio communication is a plus.
- Ability to use mechanical tools in the fabrication and assembly of chassis.
- Ability to lift, transport, and assemble electronics boards, chassis, and components.
- Electronics Test Technician should have the ability to sit or stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Ability to use a microscope for long durations as required for detailed work.
- Work environment temperatures may vary depending on outside conditions and machining processes.
- Proficient with test equipment such as volt meters, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and signal generators.
Shift and Compensation:
Monday through Thursday, 1st shift. Location is closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
9 hours a day, 36 hours/week.
$23-$26/HR
