Work Location:

This role is based in Hutchinson, Kansas onsite between our downtown office and the Hutchinson Correctional Facility where our production team members operate.

Supervise and coordinate the activities of quality control inspectors engaged in inspecting seating products for the commercial and residential turf industry, construction industry, and agriculture industry. Implement ISO9001 quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Ensure that all quality control activities are carried out in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Monitor and maintain the effectiveness of the quality control system and make recommendations for improvements as necessary. Conduct quality audits, identify non-conformances, and implement corrective actions to address them. Collaborate with other departments, such as production, engineering, sales, and customer service, to ensure that quality standards are aligned with customer requirements. Develop and maintain quality documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality records. Provide training to employees on quality control procedures and product specifications. Participate in the development and implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure quality performance. Assist in the investigation and resolution of customer complaints related to product quality. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and policies.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field highly preferred. 3+ years of experience in a quality control role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Skills:

Knowledge of ISO 9001: Strong knowledge of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) and its requirements, including Quality Management principles and methodologies. Quality Assurance: Knowledge and experience in quality assurance processes, including auditing, corrective action, root cause analysis, and risk management. Leadership: Ability to lead and manage a team of quality professionals and develop a culture of quality excellence. Analytical skills: Strong analytical skills to collect and analyze data and make informed decisions to improve processes and performance. Continuous Improvement: Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to continuously improve the QMS and organizational performance. Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and external auditors. Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address quality-related issues and develop effective solutions. Training and Development: Ability to develop and deliver training programs to ensure that employees understand their roles and responsibilities within the QMS. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines and ensuring quality standards are met. Regulatory compliance: Knowledge and experience in regulatory compliance requirements related to quality, including ISO 9001, FDA regulations, and other industry-specific regulations.
