Performs welding and HVAC installation tasks in the field under the direct supervision of the Foreman and Lead Installer. Ensures high-quality workmanship, safety compliance, and support for efficient mechanical system installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works under the guidance of the Foreman and Lead Installer to complete HVAC installation tasks involving welding and mechanical assembly.
- Welds HVAC components including ductwork, piping, brackets, and structural supports
- Assembles and installs HVAC and sheet metal systems per project specifications, shop drawings, and field layouts.
- Secures joints and seams using certified welding techniques, bolts, caulking, and mechanical fasteners to ensure integrity and durability.
- Installs HVAC assemblies such as ducts, refrigerant, and hydronic piping, supports, and equipment enclosures in coordination with the field team.
- Uses hand and power tools to cut, grind, smooth, and finish welded surfaces for safe and professional results.
- Prioritizes safety at all times, adhering to all company and OSHA safety standards during welding and installation activities.
- Maintains welding tools and equipment in clean, safe working condition, and reports issues to Foreman or Lead Installer.
- Supports the overall field installation effort by staying productive, communicating effectively, and contributing to a team-oriented job site environment.
Qualifications:
- Certified Welder (AWS or equivalent) – required.
- Experience in HVAC system installation and sheet metal work preferred.
- Ability to follow directions from Foreman and Lead Installer and work within a structured team environment.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
- Strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.
Pay:
$28hr - $35hr
