The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring product and process quality through the development and implementation of quality standards, continuous improvement initiatives, and compliance with industry regulations. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, conduct root cause analyses, and drive corrective and preventive actions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes to meet company and regulatory standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conforming materials, processes, and products.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and improve product reliability.
- Perform statistical analysis and process capability studies to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead or support audits (internal, external, and supplier) to ensure compliance with ISO, FDA, or other applicable quality standards.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality control plans.
- Utilize Six Sigma, Lean, or other methodologies to improve quality performance and reduce variability.
- Train and mentor junior quality engineers and production staff on quality standards and best practices.
- Work with suppliers to establish and maintain quality expectations and drive supplier corrective actions as needed.
- Support new product development by ensuring quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.
- Monitor and report key quality metrics to leadership, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift and carry inspection equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing facility with exposure to high temperatures.
- Ability to stand, kneel, or crouch as needed.
- Occasional travel may be required for supplier audits and off-site visits.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, or other highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with ERP and PLM systems.
