Job Description: We are looking for an experienced
Data Architect
to support enterprise-wide data initiatives. This position is fully onsite in Duncan, SC, and requires strong technical expertise in data architecture, data management frameworks, metadata integration, and ERP environments. The ideal candidate will possess both strategic and hands-on skills, with a proven ability to lead data-centric projects and collaborate across business functions.
Responsibilities: Enterprise Data Architecture & Strategy
Lead efforts in enterprise-wide Data Quality Management, Data Resource Management, Data Stewardship, and Data Administration Contribute to the design and implementation of Master Data Hub Architecture Define and standardize Data Architecture and Metadata Management Architect enterprise data solutions aligned with strategic technology roadmaps and emerging trends Support development of:
Data Management Process Framework Capability Maturity Model and Scoring Model Data Management Capability Maturity Assessments across business areas
Collaboration & Governance
Collaborate with Global Shared Service Governance Teams to institutionalize data-related policies, standards, and architectural deliverables Facilitate agreement on Enterprise Architecture definitions with internal stakeholders Provide leadership and direction on enterprise-wide information architecture Represent the data architecture function with professionalism in internal and external settings Technical Execution
Execute Data Modeling, Physical Database Design, and Database Tuning Manage ERP Data Architecture and Data Warehouse Architecture Integrate Metadata Management strategies into the enterprise system Ensure compliance with Computer Systems Validation and Software Quality Assurance Demonstrate strong hands-on skills in:
SQL / PL-SQL RDBMS Tools such as ERWin, Informatica PowerCenter (ETL), and Data Profiling
Application Development
Serve as a technical expert on assigned application areas, including code, interfaces, and data flows Develop and maintain application programs and interfaces Coordinate with project teams and business analysts to translate specs into functional solutions Utilize full system development lifecycle: design, analysis, coding, testing, performance tuning, documentation Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience) Minimum 4 years of IT program development experience Strong experience with process quality methodologies Effective communication skills - verbal, written, and presentation Demonstrated ability to resolve complex, cross-functional data architecture challenges Leadership experience in business analysis, client interaction, requirements management, and process design Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and clearly communicate technical solutions Highly-preferred Experience:
Familiarity with SEI CMMI or similar process improvement frameworks Exposure to Data Governance and Enterprise Architecture communities Experience working in matrixed environments and cross-functional teams
