Hydraulic Engineer III

Contract Duration: Through 04/06/2026 (High potential for extension)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (In-office: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday | Remote: Wednesday, Friday)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Engineer III with 7–10 years of experience to join our team in Houston, TX (EC5 Office) . This role follows a 5/8 schedule with a hybrid work arrangement.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the natural gas industry , particularly in mainline compression and hydraulic modeling . This position requires a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced operations environment rather than a traditional project-based role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis to optimize mainline compression systems.
- Perform problem-solving and "what-if" scenario analysis to enhance system performance.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple workstreams in a dynamic operational setting .
- Collaborate cross-functionally, demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills .
- Take ownership of issues and drive them to resolution efficiently.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering .
- 7–10 years of experience in hydraulic engineering, preferably within the natural gas industry .
- Expertise in mainline compression and hydraulic modeling .
- Proficiency in relevant software programs, including but not limited to:
- FlowDesk, NextGen, WinFlow, Synergi Gas, HYSYS, AFT, Petrel, Surfer, PipeFlo, OLGA, PIPESIM .
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
