Main Street Children’s Dentistry and Orthodontics of Havre de Grace is looking for a Dental Assistant in Havre de Grace, Maryland to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.
Position Overview:
As a Dental Assistant, you are an integral part of the care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Schedule: Monday – Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday – 7:30am to 3:00pm

Responsibilities
- Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
- Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
- Help dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program or six months on-the-job experience (with supporting documentation)
- No experience; will consider a recent grad from a formal dental school program
- X-Ray certification is required
- High school diploma or equivalent
Dental Assistants are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
