Location : Trinity, AL

Duration : Full-Time role

Schedule : Monday-Friday onsite


Job Description:

The Quality Manager position is a support function for sales, purchasing, and operation departments and ensuring that our customer receives the highest quality product through the consistent application of our established quality management system.

  • Responsible for oversight and manager of the site Quality Management System
  • Responsible for managing and coordinating all internal and external audits
  • Providing Technical support for all ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 related activities
  • Working with other plant Quality Manager to maintain and update Process flow maps, control plans, and FMEAs
  • Respond to customer complaints and rejections
  • Visiting customers for review/sales support
  • Determining disposition of material
  • Initiating claims to suppliers for any rejections resulting in nonconforming material
  • Aid in documentation to review supplier claim process
  • Assist sales, operations, and purchasing with any customer complaints or quality related issues
  • Produce reports for monthly quality council meetings
  • Manage outside processes concerning quality rejections, corrective actions, and auditing their quality systems to ensure products produced meet SSH’s and our customer expectations
  • PPAP’s and IMDS request as required by customers

Desired Skillset:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in metallurgy of Equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of quality/metallurgy/steel related experience
  • Familiar with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Quality Systems.
  • Must have exceptionally good Problem-Solving skills
